【适应症】 为强效镇痛剂,对呼吸抑制作用较弱,产生抑制呼吸的剂量为哌替啶的1.8倍。
【用量用法】
1.口服本品100mg对中、重度疼痛有良好镇痛作用,效果相当镇痛新25mg。 2.肌注本品100mg镇痛效果相当哌替啶100mg,镇痛新60mg,注射后30~60分钟显效,持续约2小时。
【注意事项】
1.可产生较轻恶心、呕吐,呼吸抑制及精神紊乱等不良反应。 2.本品不易被钠洛酮所拮抗。 3.禁用孕妇和乳母.
【规格】片:200mg, 针:100mg/1ml.

1. WHAT MEPTID TABLETS ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR
Meptid Tablets belong to a group of medicines known as opioid analgesics, which are used to relieve pain. Meptid Tablets are used to treat moderate, short-term pain from a variety of causes.
Meptid Tablets are available in glass bottles of 50 or 100 tablets or blister packs of 6, 28, 56, 100 or 112 tablets. (Only those marketed will be printed)
Meptid Tablets are orange, oval shaped, film-coated tablets.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE MEPTID TABLETS
Do not take Meptid Tablets:
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to meptazinol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of Meptid Tablets
if you have any alcohol-related problems
if you have or you are at risk of getting the condition known as paralytic ileus
if you have a head injury, or condition known as raised intracranial pressure (build-up of pressure in the head)
Take special care with Meptid Tablets:
if you have any liver or kidney problems
if you have any severe breathing problems such as asthma. Do not take this medicine during an asthma attack
if you have low blood pressure
if you have hypothyroidism (under-active thyroid gland)
if you have an enlarged prostate gland
if you have a convulsive disorder (suffer from fits or seizures)
if you think your pain is due to a heart attack
if you regularly take other pain relieving medicines known as opioid analgesics
If any of these apply to you, tell your doctor or pharmacist before you take Meptid Tablets.
If you are taking any medicines known as monoamine-oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) including moclobemide, or if you have taken this type of medicine during the past two weeks, you should also talk to your doctor.
Long term use of Meptid Tablets may cause dependence and tolerance. If you are worried about this, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Meptid Tablets are usually only used for short-term treatment of pain.
Avoid taking alcohol with this medicine as it may make you feel especially dizzy and sleepy.
Pregnancy:
You should not take Meptid Tablets during pregnancy unless your doctor thinks that it is essential.
Breast-feeding:
You should not take Meptid Tablets while breast-feeding unless your doctor thinks that it is essential.
Driving and using machines:
If this product makes you dizzy or drowsy you should not drive or operate machinery.
Important information about some of the ingredients of Meptid Tablets:
Meptid Tablets contain the colouring agent sunset yellow FCF (E110), which may cause allergic reactions in some people.
Taking other medicines:
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, or have recently taken, any other medicines, even those not prescribed. Taking some medicines together can be harmful.
In particular, tell your doctor if you are taking, or have recently taken, any of the following medicines which are known to interact with Meptid Tablets:
medicines for treatment of depression known as monoamine-oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) including moclobemide, and those called tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline
medicines for mental well-being such as chlorpromazine
ritonavir (for HIV infection); ciprofloxacin (for bacterial infections); domperidone and metoclopramide (for nausea and vomiting); cimetidine (for ulcers)
anti-anxiety and sleeping medicines such as diazepam and nitrazepam
3. HOW TO TAKE MEPTID TABLETS
Always take Meptid Tablets exactly as your doctor has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. The usual adult dose, including elderly patients, is one tablet every four hours.
Swallow the tablets with a glass of water.
If you have the impression that the effect of Meptid Tablets is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not take more than your doctor has recommended.
Follow your doctor's directions on how long to take Meptid Tablets. Your pain may come back if you stop your treatment too early.
Meptid Tablets are not recommended for children.
If you take more Meptid Tablets than you should:
If you think you have taken too many tablets CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR OR THE LOCAL HOSPITAL CASUALTY DEPARTMENT AT ONCE. Take any remaining tablets and the packaging with you.
If you forget to take Meptid Tablets:
If you forget to take a dose at the right time, take it as soon as you remember. If however you miss a dose completely, do not take two doses at the same time to make up for the missed dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and take the next dose as usual.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Meptid Tablets can have side effects.
At the correct dose Meptid Tablets should not generally cause any problems. However, the most commonly reported side effects after treatment with Meptid Tablets are feeling or being sick, constipation or diarrhoea, tummy pains, indigestion, dizziness, vertigo, sweating, headache, rash, and sleepiness. There have been very few patients who have reported unwanted effects like confusion, depression, hallucinations, low blood pressure and breathing problems, which may have been due to Meptid Tablets.
Other side effects that have not been mentioned above, but are associated with medicines that act in the same way as Meptid Tablets include difficulty in passing water, dry mouth, red face, unusually fast or slow heart beat, palpitations, feeling unusually cold, mood changes, reduction in pupil size, decreased sexual desire, decreased potency, hives or rash with itching.
Should you experience any of these symptoms, contact a doctor, as medical assistance might be necessary. Do not be alarmed by this list of possible side effects. You may not have any of them.
If you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.
5. STORING MEPTID TABLETS
Do not use Meptid Tablets after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children, preferably in a locked cupboard or medicine cabinet.
Do not store above 25°C.
