药理作用
胶体次枸橼酸铋是一种络盐，是由许多氢氧化铋和枸橼酸结合而成的基本单元，它们相连接形成一个大分子，在水溶液中呈胶体状态，在胃酸的环境下，失去稳定性，以铋盐的形式沉淀于胃粘膜，形成一层保持膜，保护溃疡面免受进一步侵蚀，有利于溃疡的愈合。另外，德诺可使局部前列腺素增加，刺激碳酸氢盐和粘蛋白的产生，从而起到保护胃粘膜的作用。无论在体内还是体外，本药对导致胃炎以及溃疡复发的幽门螺旋杆菌都具杀菌活性，与羟氨苄青霉素(或四环素)和甲硝唑三联用药，根除幽门螺旋杆菌的效果更佳。

适应症
胃及十二指肠溃疡，胃炎(特别是与幽门螺旋菌相关的胃炎)。

用量和用法
每日早餐前1/2hr及晚餐前1/2hr各服2片，或每日4次于三餐前1/2hr及睡前1/2hr各服1片。除特殊情况，疗程不得超过2个月。若需继续用药，在开始下一个疗程前2个月须禁服任何含铋制剂。

禁忌症
肾功能不全者。

不良反应
恶心、呕吐、便秘、腹泻及大便颜色改变。偶见轻度过敏反应。

注意事项
服药期间不得服用其它含铋制剂。服药前后半小时须禁食。

Active Ingredients:
bismuth,

Therapeutic actions: Bismuth has several actions in the gut. It forms a coating over ulcers in the stomach and gut protecting them from stomach acid and allowing them to heal. It also kills bacteria , including those which are now believed to aggravate ulcers. De-nol increases the synthesis of prostoglandin E, enhances the secretion of bicarbonate, stimulates the activity of the cells protective mechanisms. It increases the stability of mucous membrane in digestive system to the action of pepsin, hydrochloric acid, ferments and salts of the bilious acids. The activity of pepsin and pepsinogen is also decreased.

Indications: De-nol is used to treat:
Duodenal ulcers
Gastric ulcers (stomach ulcers)
Diarrhea
Nausea
Upset stomach characterized by stomach pain and burning, nausea and excess gas (dyspepsia)

Contraindications and cautions: You should not use De-nol:
If you have an allergy to any of Bismuth salts
If you have any kidney disease
Avoid use of aspirin and other salicylates

You should talk with your health care provider prior to taking De-nol if you:
Are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medicine
Are breastfeeding
Have any other health problems, such as diabetes, gout, high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, or heart or blood vessel disease
This medicine may discolor the stools, but this is harmless.

Warning!
You should not use this medication more than 8 weeks.
During the treatment you should not use other medications, containing Bismuth
Large doses may lead to confusion, changes in memory and mood, hallucinations, seizures

Adverse effects: Medicines and their possible side effects can affect individual people in different ways. Nausea and vomiting
Skin rashes
Brain disorders (encephalopathy)
Irritation to the lining or movements of the gut

Interactions: It is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with this medicine. Similarly, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines while taking this one, to ensure that the combination is safe.

These interactions include:
Antacids : Tums (R), cimetidine Tagamet(R), famotidine Pepcid(R), ranitidine Zantac(R)
Bismuth Subcitrate should not be taken with milk or food. Take it 30 minutes before or 2 hours after meals

Additional Information: DO NOT SHARE THIS MEDICINE with others. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for other health conditions. KEEP THIS PRODUCT, as well as syringes and needles, if needed during treatment, out of the reach of children. Do not reuse needles, syringes, or other materials.
