藥理作用 
Policresulen在不影響正常組織情況下，選擇使壞死組織凝固脫落，能有效清潔傷口；另外它可讓傷口處充血與表皮增生，促進傷口癒合；也能促使肌原纖維產生，讓血管收縮達到止血作用。Cinchocaine會抑制神經衝動傳到中樞神經系統，有止癢、止痛作用。

適應症 
痔瘡及肛門直腸裂隙和破裂所引起之疼痛、出血、搔癢及發炎。
 
用法用量 
通常每天2~3次，每次1顆，於排便後、沐浴後或睡前塞入使用。
 
副作用 
灼熱感、患處皮膚紅疹、癢或蕁麻疹。

注意事項 
1.持續治療7天後，未改善請告知醫師。
2.使用時請先撕開外包裝。
3.一般使用方式：使用前後應將雙手洗淨，將鋁箔完全撕開，蹲狀或仰臥，雙腿彎曲，再將栓劑塞入肛門。若栓劑之形體變形時，照原鋁箔包裝形態浸於溫水中(約40~50℃)，軟化後，浸於冷水中(約20℃以下)，即可凝固。

藥品保存方式 
藥品應置於攝氏 15 ~ 25 度乾燥處所；如發生變質或過期，不可再使用。

FAKTU Suppository
Just last year, I was determined to have my Hemorrhoids removed because it caused so much pain. There were succeeding days that I was not able to report to my work due to I cannot sit straight for long hours. This started when I was in Junior high school. I always have to rush to the comfort room for relief which cause my anus to be so swollen until I felt that there is a little skin hanging around in my anus part. Since I have an IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which cause diarrhea at all times, my hemorrhoids got inflamed and bigger making it harder for me to poop.

So, I went to my doctor and examined my rectum. The procedure was so painful for me because she had to insert a finger to check it. She told me that I have external hemorrhoids though I might have one inside as well. I told her anyway that I had a colonoscopy procedure and I have one inside but it is not causing any bleeding at all. So I was determined to have an operation with a surgeon but instead, she tried to insert back my hemorrhoids inside my rectum. She informed me that it is not for operation though I have the option to be operated. The good thing in the operation is that it will go away but the cons were to many: recovery would me more than a month, it will be a painful recovery and since I have IBS, the possibility that it will occur again is 50 percent.

Honestly, she was the second doctor I consulted. She told me the same thing that I should have it removed since it is not operable. I realized that they are right. She told me to take a lot of fiber drinks and eat food that has good sources of fiber like fruits and vegetables so that my stool will not be hard.

Lastly, since my hemorrhoids were so SWOLLEN at that time, she prescribed me the FAKTU suppository for my rectum. I need to insert it thrice a day or depending on how often it hurts after my bowel movement. Very important! You need to put it in the refrigerator because that suppository melts easily.

In my own experience, first two days, I put like three times a day after bowel movement. I insert it in my rectum and it will really hurts since there is an open wound inside but after few minutes, you will feel relieve. On my succeeding days, I only apply it every night until my hemorrhoids got smaller then every after poop, make sure you insert the tissue/skin inside your rectum to lessen the pain. It is very effective practice for me.

My hemorrhoids are still here but I don’t feel pain at all even when rushing to the comfort room. Proper diet and eating lots of fiber really helps me a lot to get through this. I just hope that someday there are other ways to remove swollen veins other than surgery.

Faktu suppository is very effective for hemorrhoids problem. It gives you relief when you continue to apply it until the swelling stops. I definitely recommend this medication. Safe and effective.
