药物剂型

药理作用
本品为亲水的聚丙烯酸树脂，为肠道吸水剂，对水具有显著的结合能力，能吸收自身重量60倍的水。用于治疗腹泻时可吸收排泄物中的游离水分，使之形成冻胶状，产生成形大便。作为容积性泻药时，能保留肠道内的游离水分，使肠道内压力增加，肠蠕动增强，产生成形大便。
 
药动学
本品口服后在体内不被吸收，12～72h内可起效产生排便，药物在体内不被代谢。
 
适应证
用于便秘，如慢性便秘、肠易激综合征、肠憩室疾病及孕妇、老人、康复期患者的便秘，也能用于水性腹泻。
 
禁忌证
肠梗阻或粪便嵌塞患者、吞咽困难的患者禁用。
 
注意事项
1.本品不通过肠道吸收，孕妇用药安全。
2.采用多次给药或小剂量给药可减轻腹胀、胃肠胀气。
3.用药期间应检测血钙浓度。对腹泻患者，应监测水、电解质。
4.用药过量可出现呕吐、口渴、腹痛、虚弱、疲乏、水肿、骨痛(骨软化所致)、水电解质紊乱、低白蛋白血症(因胃肠疾病所致蛋白丢失)、类似大肠炎的症状。若肠道未受到永久性的损害，停用缓泻药后，可能需几个月才能恢复肠道功能。
5.慎用：突然、持续性排便习惯改变的患者及恶心、呕吐、腹痛的患者慎用。
 
不良反应
因本品在体内不被吸收，故较少出现不良反应。偶可出现呕吐、胃痉挛。有腹胀、胃肠胀气的报道。
 
用法用量
1.成人用药：口服给药，成人最大推荐剂量为每天6g。(1)便秘：推荐剂量为每次1g，4次/d或根据需要调整，嚼碎后用水送服。(2)腹泻：推荐剂量为每次1g，4次/d或根据需要调整，嚼碎后吞服。对严重腹泻患者，可每半小时重复给药1次，直至达到最大剂量。
2.儿童用药：(1)便秘：3～6岁，推荐剂量为每次0.5g，2次/d，嚼碎后用水或其他液体送服；6～12岁，推荐剂量为每次0.5g，3次/d，嚼碎后用水或其他液体送服。(2)腹泻3～6岁，推荐剂量为每次0.5g，2次/d，咀嚼后吞服，每天不宜超过1.5g；6～12岁，推荐剂量为每次0.5g，3次/d，咀嚼后吞服，每天不宜超过3g。

Effects of this medicine
This medicine shows water-absorbing property and water-holding capacity to adjust transportation of intestinal contents by swelling and gelling, and consequently normalize fecal properties.

It is usually used in the treatment of abnormal bowel movements (diarrhea, constipation) and gastrointestinal symptoms in irritable bowel syndrome.

Before using this medicine, tell your doctor/pharmacist
•If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you are a patient with appendicitis, intestinal hemorrhage, bowel diseases such as ulcerative inflammation, possibility of intestinal obstruction such as postoperative ileus, hypercalcemia, nephrolithiasis or renal diseases.
•If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
•If you are using any other prescription or nonprescription (OTC) medicine. (It is important to reduce the risk of drug interactions.)
 
Dosage regimen (proper use of this medicine)
•General dosage regimen: For adults, take 1 to 2 tablets (500-1000 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, three times daily, after meal with water. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
•Missed dose: Take a dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.
•Overdose: If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
•Others: Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Side effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: nausea, vomiting, rash, dry mouth, edema, itch, etc.

In rare cases, symptoms described below may be the sign of side effects indicated in brackets [ ]. If they occur, stop taking your medicine and check with your doctor immediately.
